Corsets are "Dry Clean Only" due to the numerous metal components used in their construction.
If a corset at any point does become damp it is very important that you try to dry the garment as quickly as possible to avoid steel components rusting. We advise placing the corset in between 2 towels and lying it flat in an airing cupboard.
Occasionally we are asked "Why are corsets not made from Stainless Steel"? The reason is that stainless steel has no spring. Once Stainless Steel has been bent it will stay in that shape, this property makes it unsuitable for corset construction.
